In the second year at ESAT we had to make a game suitable to be shipped and released into a digital marketplace (with all of that implies) since at that point we just knew to make games with unity, we decided to make a Unity game for Android. We envisioned that making a 2.5D Platformer with touches of stealth and combat could be a good idea for that market, and we went for it.
In Oni: KenDen I made the "AI" of the enemies, making a parametrizable enemy to make different types of ranged and melee enemies, with different atack cooldows, area detections or number of attacks. I also did the UI of the main menu and shop, making also the under-systems to make "offers" or saving which skins were unlocked by the player. And pluged the music of the game.
Meanwhile, my teammate Gonzalo Veiras was in charge of some mechanics as the grapple or the progression through levels, while Diego Cosin was focused on making the movement, input and combat of the game.
As a final milestone we published the game on the Google Play marketplace, making some cool videos and screenshots. You visit the Google Play page here.
